In a city as big as New York, there are surprisingly not many options to heal injured birds. Most are left on the street and die from their wounds. However, more and more New Yorkers have begun to take injured birds they find on the streets to a small private sanctuary. The Wild Bird Fund a small bird sanctuary on the Upper West Side takes in about 3000 birds per year. This short documentary shines a light on the conservation efforts currently in place to help birds fully recover to their full health and return to the wild in New York City.
